Training Tidbit: Sneak Peek for Upcoming Changes to Web Link
In a future update set to be released the first part of August 2019, there will be many changes included for the Web Link module.
One new feature that will be added to Web Link is the ability to allow your employees to view their contact information, dependents, direct deposit information, emergency contacts, and medical information. The new option can be set up to also allow employees to change their information from within the Web Link module, if desired. Then the payroll and/or human resources staff will see the changes in the Employee File in Payroll (the Employee File will either be updated automatically or after changes are reviewed and processed, depending on how the system is set up).
Another change that will be included with the next update is the ability for employees to be able to view their employee documents from K12Docs in Web Link. The employee documents in the designated subfolders within the SUI_PR_Employees application in K12Docs (as specified within the Web Link Setup Options in the School Accounting System) will be available to view in Web Link.

There are also several other exciting changes coming in the next update, including the ability to approve multiple requisitions or leave requests at one time, disable the requisition number field in the Requisition Entry option, enter a pay code when assigning a substitute to a leave request, prohibit leave requests from being entered if the leave has a negative balance, and add events (i.e. holidays) to the calendar displayed within the various leave request options, to name a few. Important Note: Once the update is released and it is installed, the changes described in the release notes will be available at that time. Some changes, such as the changes to the Requisition Approvals and Leave Request Approvals options, will be there immediately for the end users, while other changes, like the new features for viewing and editing personal information, will need to be turned on within the Web Link Setup Options (and the proper settings given to users within the User Security option) in order to begin utilizing them.
